Tajik singer-Takhmina Niyazova





 In 2008, Tahmina Niyazova took first place in the international Five Stars Intervision music contest.

In 2003, at the age of 14 ,Tahmina Niyazova became the youngest winner of a competition in Tajikistan entitled “Stars of the New Century”
She participated in several local festivals, winning top prizes over the next several years, including Best song and Song of the Year (Surudi Sol) in 2007.
She garnered 216 points during the ‘Five Stars’competition,beating by one point her nearest competitor to win the event, receiving also award for being the youngest participant.
Tahmina Niyazova represented Tajikistan in 2009 at the Festival of Youth in the Commonwealth of Independent States in Baku, Azerbaijan.












Tajikistan pop singer Manija Davlatova

Manizha Davlatova  is a Tajik pop singer and one of Tajikistan’s and Central Asia’s best known, also known in Iran and Afghanistan and other neighbouring countries. Persian pop music. Manizha sings in Tajiki, a dialect of Modern Persian native to her country. She performs in concerts regularly in her native Tajikistan as well as other neighboring countries.

Since her concert in Mazar-e-Sharif and Kabul, she has gained celebrity in Afghanistan in addition to building on her already established renown in Central Asian countries. A recent poll conducted in Kabul named Manija (among Persian speakers) and Nazia Iqbal (among Pashtospeakers) as the most popular female singers in that country.
As of 2004, she has two albums, both recorded live in Mazar-e-Sharif. Her concert in Kabul drew thousands of enthusiastic fans. Reportedly in both of these concerts, the stage was filled with flower bouquets.

In 2006 she visited Afghanistan and was asked if she felt safe shooting there, she replied, "I felt I was at home. The people in Afghanistan treated me like a princess. They are very good people."


Zarina said she grew up on Hindi films and loves Shah Rukh Khan, Madhuri Dixit and Amitabh Bachchan.


Asked whether she would like to work with any one of them, she said, "Why not? Sure!" After a pause, she continued, "But I will not dance or do any songs in a film. And no exposure."

Miss Tajikistan Nilufar Sherzod wins Miss United Nations





Miss Tajikistan , Nilufar Sherzod was eligible to represent Tajikistan in Miss United Nations pageant in the United States.


Nilufar won the Miss UN pageant on September 24, 2010.


She is a Business Finance student working on pursuing a Master's degree at Utah Valley University.


Due to Tajikistan being part of the Soviet Union, it was hardly known to the outside world. “I would like to take this wonderful opportunity to introduce my lovely country, its great people and its rich, varied and colorful history and traditions,” said Nilufar Sherzod.


Nilufar is a model/actress with Talent Management Group (TMG) in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Popular singer Shabnami Surayo




Shabnam Surayyo  is a popular Tajik singer. She was born into a musical family, with both her mother (Surayyo Qosimova) and sister (Farzona Khurshed) also well-known singers in Tajikistan. However, Shabnam was little known until her popularity rose dramatically in 2006, when one of her songs was ranked #1 in Tajikistan. Following this success, Shabnam hit international stardom amongst Persians and Persian-speakers around the globe.
Shabnam also collaborated with the Afghan singer Jawid Sharif, creating a duet Ey Khuda. In addition, Shabnam has also performed duets with Tajiki singers, including Bahrom, Suhrobi Safarzod, Parvina Shukrulloeva, Jonibek Murodov and others from her own country.
In 2007, Shabnam Surayyo was nominated as the Goodwill Ambassador for Tajikistan and helped raise the awareness of AIDS.
She has recorded several video clips around Europe including Biya ke burem bagh which was mainly filmed in Bremen and Berlin.

Originally Malika Iskandarova is from Tajikistan (Central Asia).She speaks English, Tajik, Russian and a little bit of Ukrainian. Very beautiful and talented lady and has a cheery personality and very easy to deal with.
Currently lives in Las Vegas and planning to move to LA soon to pursue her modeling career. She is also interested in getting into acting and she is a professional dancer.

Vita Tsybulska, The 1st Runner-Up of Miss Asia 2010.


Vita Tsybulsk was eligible to represent Tajikistan in Miss Asia 2010 in China and has taken second place.

Vita Tsybulska was asked if she was disappointed? She said: “No disappointment, personally feel I can get Miss Asia, and I lost due to not knowing Chinese.

China’s news agency Xinhua reports the final was held in Hefei, east China's Anhui Province, on December 5, 2010.  The Miss Asia 2010 winner is Wang Xin from China, Vita Tsybulska is the 1st Runner-up and Liu Xiaozhi (also China) is the  2nd Runner-up.  Xinhua notes the final was held in Mainland China for the first time
